Haughton looking for redemption against John Ehret

CJ McWilliams will be making just his third start under center for the Haughton Buccaneers in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

McWilliams has been kind of a do it all weapon all season for the Bucs, playing a little running back, wide receiver as well as some defense.

Now he’ll be leaned on to lead the offense in Haughton’s biggest game of the year and head coach Jason Brotherton has all the confidence in the world in junior.

Brotherton said, “Our team believes in him and that’s the good thing. We say we’re snapping the ball to one of the best athletes around here so it brings a different element to it. He’s becoming better every game at being an actual quarterback but he’s still an athlete and can mae plays back there.”

McWilliams said, “I’m still learning. I kind of came in on short notice but I’m working had at practice to know what I need to know to help us win. I’m just excited I’m getting the opportunity to help my guys win.”
