The Carthage Bulldogs got started right where they finished last season, in the win column.
The Bulldogs took care of Gladewater in short order in Friday night’s 49-7 victory.
The Carthage offense was impressive as a whole, but University of Texas commit Keontay Ingram was next level good.
Ingram averaged more than 27-yards per carry, scored two touchdowns and was out of the game by halftime.
Scott Surratt said, “He only got five carries but he had one hundred and some yards, a couple of touchdowns and a couple of big highlights. The offensive line played well, the quarterback played well, the receivers played well, it was a whole team effort.”
Keontay Ingram said, “Take every carry that you get in practice into consideration. Hit it everyday full speed, no days off.”
Carthage plays host to Liberty Eylau this Friday.
