The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs capturing a 31-14 Hawaii bowl win over the University of Hawaii, this being the fifth consecutive bowl win for the Bulldogs in a game where senior defensive end Jaylon Ferguson broke the FBS record for career sacks. His total of 45 sacks passing current Baltimore Raven Terrell Suggs’ previous record. However, Ferguson is a guy who always puts the team first.

“Jaylon Ferguson – Just worried about the next play just trying to get better. The record didn’t cross my mind until after the game when everyone told me congratulations. Coming into the game that wasn’t the goal the goal was to win the game in Hawaii by any means. I could have had zero sacks tonight as long as we won that’s all that mattered.”

“Skip Holtz – This guy is one of the best players in the country and you can’t get him to say anything but my teammates, my teammates, my teammates, the other guys don’t got double teamed so I could get free to get the sack.”
