Joaquin Rams expect another tough test against Carlisle

The Joaquin Rams entering the second round of the playoffs after a dominating 42-0 shut out against West Sabine last week. This week is a different story as they turn their attention to an undefeated top ten Carlisle team. A team they have familiarity with, having seen each other in district play over the last two seasons. Just last year Joaquin defeating Carlisle by a game winning field goal and coach Lawson says he expects another hard fought battle.

“Wade Lawson – I think it’s going to come down to a few plays in the game. Who makes the big play who makes the big adjustment, who misses a big tackle that could have been a loss or could have been at the line of scrimmage. When two good football teams play each other that’s usually what it comes down to. It’s kind of like this it’s them or us. Somebody’s got to win it somebody’s gotta lose it. I feel like our kids are going to put their best foot forward and we’re really going to push them in a way they havn’t been pushed all year.”
