LA Tech and Grambling State Pro Day RECAP

Brad Cesak said, “Jaylon Ferguson didn’t get a chance to go through these drills at the NFL Combine. This was his only chance to impress NFL Scouts and he did exactly that, 24 reps in the bench press, has a 32 inch vertical, ran in the 4.7’s in the 40 and showed out during the positional drills. It’s safe to say Jaylon probably made a good amount of money today.”

Jaylon Ferguson said, “I feel like I solidified myself today. I opened a lot of eyes up, I talked to a lot of coaches and all I need is for one team to fall in love with me. That’s my goal right now is to find one team to fall in love with me and give the the best version I can give them.”

Skip Holtz said, “There was a lot riding on this day for him. He seemed a little tight early but then when he went to position drills that’s when he really started to shine. Ultimately they’re not going to a track meet or a combine they’re looking for football players. That’s one of the things that make Jaylon so good is how productive he is. It was nice to see him loosen up a little bit and go play the game the way he can play it.”

Cesak said, “Now Louisiana Tech not the only school going through their pro day today, Grambling had their workouts this morning and Tim Owens was with the Tigers.

Tim Owens said, “Nearly half the NFL teams represented today here at GSU’s Pro Day and one of the guys who caught the scouts eyes, Devon Lindsay the Wide Receiver. He ran a 4.4 40 yard dash and he just looks the part but the guy who stole the show today, Marc Orozco the kicker. He was booming in 50 yard field goals over and over again and the scouts were taking notice.”

Marc Orozco said, “I knew I had to come out here and give it my all. This was the day for me, I’ve been training for this the last 6 weeks or so I knew I had to come out here and impress. This was it for me, so this was a very special day for me. I knew I had to come out here and impress and I knew I’d pop a lot of eyes and turn some heads.”

Broderick Fobbs said, “He’s a very reliable guy. He can place the ball where you want it placed. He can sky kick and he can also punt as well as well as kick field goals. He’ll definitely be a guy that will be a hot commodity for the next level.”

Owens said, “That wraps up the pro day festivities over here in Lincoln Parish but tomorrow morning Northwestern State holding their Pro Day where we get to see if Jazz Ferguson can build on that combine performance.”
