Loyola College Prep Fills Gaps of 23 Seniors

Sports

Loyola College Prep is gearing up for the 2017 season but with quite a different team than last year. The Flyers graduated 23 seniors and while a lot of the players will be looking to get experience this season, head coach
Steven Geter is excited about the young roster and the progress they have made in the offseason.

Steven Geter: “We graduated 23 seniors last year we’re going to have a lot of sophomores starting this year but this is a great team. I’m excited about this season, they’ve had a really great offseason, they’re a great group of kids, they’ve been working hard and have been buying into what we have been coaching. I think its going to be a great year for the Flyers.”

Jacob Allen: “Its just been new for a bunch of them I think the coaches have done a good job at getting everyone used to their position and just learning all the things they need to do to be successful on the field.”

The Flyers will start their season in Ruston  against Cedar Creek on September 1st at 7pm.
