Mudbugs feel a sense of urgency taking on first place Amarillo

The Shreveport Mudbugs currently sit at 16-14-6 tied at third place in the south division with the Lone Star Brahmas. The Bugs dropped their last two games in Corpus Christi losing 4-0 on Friday and 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. This week they turn their attention to the south division leaders in the Amarillo Bulls. Anything can still happen in the standings but head coach Jason Campbell says the team understands there’s some urgency when they step on the ice against the Bulls.

Jason Campbell – It is first place Amarillo you know everyone wants to beat them you know because they’re in first place. They’re a good team and you want to see where you stack up against them every time you play them because they are first place in our division.  So yeah, there shouldnt be a whole lot of motivation needed.

Richie Parent – Amarillo is a very good team coming here and we’ve just got to put the past behind us and focus on this weekend. They’ve got some pretty skilled guys on their team and we just have to show up there and shut them down.
