Mudbugs Head Coach Karlis Zirnis suspended for behavior in Topeka

Sports

The Mudbugs head coach Karlis Zirnis has been suspended for two games due to misconduct this past Saturday in Topeka. Zirnis was upset with a call and started throwing water bottles, sticks and pucks onto the ice. It was his first time ever being ejected from a game in his coaching career. Jason Campbell will step in as interim coach and the team says they always have Zirnis’ back.

“Jason Campbell said: The guys I thought you know did a great job at kind of putting that behind them you know and trying to play for coach they know that he loves them and you know he kind of lost his cool.”

“Dominick Procopio said: Yeah I was right on the bench and like Fader and Soupy say he’s a passionate guy and likes to have a little fun and you know we’ll take that penalty anyday.”
