Mudbugs prep for trip to Topeka

Sports

The Shreveport Mudbugs experiencing some frustration over at George’s Pond this past weekend dropping both games by one goal in the two game series against Amarillo. The bugs have now lost their last three games at home. Head coach Jason Campbell saying the key to change will be improvements in special teams play.

Jason Campbell – I’m a believer that not one single play loses you a hockey game. The same thing, penalties and just our special teams not being up to par that’s definitely contributing to us losing games. When you’re losing games by one goal, if your PK can at least kill one more penalty or your power play scores one goal it can be a difference maker.

Cj Regula – We just have to compete every single shift. Every single minute of every game. Battle and work hard. With that stuff will start coming our way.
