SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport Pilots were one win away from winning the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament as they faced the LSU Alexandria Generals.
LSUA won game one 19-6 and game two 10-2 to defeat the Pilots and win the Tournament Championship. The Pilots fall to 39-20 while the Generals improve to 32-25.
Game One:
The Generals opened up a huge lead early in the ballgame scoring three runs in the first and second innings. They then added a run in the third and two in the fifth to open up a 9-2 lead.
The Pilots were unable to get out of the eighth inning as the Generals scored six runs.
Game Two:
The Generals once again jumped to an early 4-0 lead after three innings.
The Pilots scored one in the sixth but left the bases loaded as it was a missed opportunity.
The Generals then scored three in the bottom of the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth to secure the victory.
