Basketball Hall of Famer Robert Parish’s records are going to be recognized by the NCAA.
When Parish attended Woodlawn high school he had taken standardized tests that did not fit the NCAA’s formula.Centenary had converted his scores to an equivalent that fit that formula which inevitably caused for Parish’s records to go “invisible” until now.
“Robert Bunnell: We are thrilled to get a response from the NCAA that they have acted on our appeal and are going to be entering his records into the NCAA record book. He finished his Gents basketball career with 2334 points, 1820 rebound and 93 double doubles. In his 108 games in which he appeared in a Gents uniform Centenary was 87-21 he averaged 21.5 points per game 16.9 rebounds per game, let that sink in.”
