It wasn’t the outcome the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs wanted on Saturday, a 57-21 loss to Mississippi State, but the play of Amik Robertson stood out.
Robertson, a true freshman playing in only his second college game, was all over the stat line, including four tackles and an interception.
Coach Holtz liked what he saw.
Skip Holtz said, “I think everybody saw his athleticism, not only on the interceptions, but having the opportunity to scoop up a blocked field goal, a blocked extra point to score and put two points on the board. I thought he played aggressive. I thought he played, for a freshman to go out there, he made some mistakes too, but I’ll live with those mistakes right now when you look at the positives.”
