Roosevelt Collins is a former Miami Dolphin, TCU Horned Frog and BTW grad from the Shreveport area. He returns to his former high school to hold football camp for the kids, giving back to the community. Collins is currently a counselor in Fort Worth and consistently sees the struggles of today’s youth.
“What god put in me was hope and sometimes as kids you see today they don’t have that hope and so i’m bringing that same hope that was put in me a long time ago. I want to bring it back to the community and let these boys see that they can come together as Booker T Washington and Fair Park are coming together. Also to see that football is a stepping stone to the rest of your life. At camp tomorrow you’re going to expect a lot of guys with a NFL experience. If I could combine we have over 50 years of NFL experience of guys that are coming out here, said Collins.”
