Scrappers look to contend for state title

The Nashville Scrappers look to be contenders for a sate championship this season.

The Scrappers are coming off a 28-23 win over defending state champion Arkadelphia.
They also have a win over 5A Watson Chapel to open ths season.

Nashville is averaging over 45 points per game this season but head coach Mike Volarvich says even though it’s perceived that the “toughest part” of the schedule is behind them, they can’t overlook anyone, because in 7-4A it’s a battle every week.

Volarvich said, “We have to bring our A game every single week. We feel like we’re some teams Super Bowl game. We know if we don’t show up with our A game someone will take advantage of you so we just try to prepare every week like we do and bring our best game.”
