Steve Wells Happy with Leopards O

Sports

Up in Texarkana the Liberty-Eylau Leopards are still winless so far this season, but from what they demonstrated in those two losses, they have to be one of the best 0-2 teams in the state. The Leopards average just under 48 points a game and  can really fly around on the offensive side of the ball. Led by quarterback Decorian Phillips… Coach Wells really likes how that side of the ball looks so far in 2017.

“Coach Wells said: We do what we do the offensive staff does a really good job and the staff has done a really good job defensively as well. We played two of the better 4A teams in the state and came up with some big stops at crucial times and had a chance to go up 15 against Gilmer. Didn’t take advantage of that opportunity, and then last week we had a couple of opportunities we didn’t take advantage of so even though we scored a lot of points we had some opportunities out there to score more.”
