The Bossier Bearkats are looking for a fresh start in 2018

Sports

The Bossier Bearkats were looking for change this offseason. Both on, off and to, their field.

Mike Concilio- We’re really really excited about having the updates facilities that we have. We’ve been very very fortunate for the school board and city of Bossier to give this to us.

John Florres  – You know we just want to break it in, break it in right. Come out with some wins.

Daniel Morre –  We got turf. Its a better field. It probably going to make us better but it’s going to feel like it made us better but all of our hard work and dedication how we’ve been doing in the weight room, it’s going to feel like we’ve gotten better.

The new turf feels like a new start for the program. The Bearkats have not been in post season play since 2012, and coming off of a 2 win season in 2017, they’re eager to make a comeback.

Mike Concilio – They understand the drought of our post play. They understand the history, these kids were in elementary school the last time our football program was in the playoffs and thats their ambition to make that mark.

John Florres – We’re just trying to be great again. Put Bossier back on the map we’ve been struggling the last couple of years.

What the Kats may lack in numbers, they make up for in heart.

Daniel Moore – I guarantee you that we’re going to be better than the best. To beat the best you have to be the best I’ve always said.

John Florres- We’re a really close team we’re like a family here. A winning environment we want to put wins on the field and we just want to be great again. Make Bossier the way it was when we were back to back district champs.
