The Haughton Bucs are looking for more playoff success in 2018

The Haughton Bucs are coming off a 7-4 season where they lost in the first round of the playoffs.
The bucs have ten starters returning, five on offense and five on defense but will have to replace Cameron Townsend at quarterback.

It’s a three man race between Alexander Morris, CJ McWilliams and sophomore Peyton Stovall.
Making the playoffs in 2018 isn’t enough for the Bucs,  they need to make a little noise once they get there.

Head Coach Jason Brotherton said,  “For us it’s about taking another step forward beyond just making the playoffs because we’ve been able to do that I think for 24 years in a row, making the playoffs right now. But, for us its to get to the next level of the playoffs and to make that playoff run. That’s kind of what leaded us the last three or four years.”

Trenton Seets  said, “To make it back to the playoffs we just need everyone on defense running to the football. Everybody on offense always handling their assignment. Just everybody doing their job.”

Jonathan Sewell  said, ” We have a lot of good football players, good athletes I think we’re really excited about this year.”

Haughton opens the season on the road when they travel to  the Pit in Minden on Friday August 31st.
