The Loyola Flyers are back to back district champions looking to garner a third this season. There are a few good signs leaning towards them doing so. The flyers are returning a number of skill players. That includes the likes of wide receiver John Williams, running back Reese Ebarb, and three year starting QB Jacob Allen. Coach Steven Geter says its helpful to have established relationships but the Flyers say the goal goes beyond another district title this season.
Steven Geter – It’s big, it’s big especially with your quarterback. We’re able to sit back and talk about things that he’s seeing on the field. He’s able to make adjustments on the fly, we’re just talking the same language and being able to put us in better plays if I put us in a bad one. We want to win a playoff game, it’s been awhile since we’ve won a playoff game so we have to continue to get better each week. Before that we’ve got to win week one.
John Williams – I’m really excited for this season I feel like we know the offense now we know the defense. All we need to do is come out here and perform and we can win a lot of games this year.
