Tigers Survive; Prepare for Huntington

The Benton Tigers remain undefeated after their week seven win over the North Desoto Griffins.

It wasn’t an easy feat though.

After the Tigers went up by 14 in the third quarter, North Desoto scored twice in the 4th, and if not for a missed extra point, would’ve tied the game.

The Tigers were able to survive with a one point win.

Reynolds Moore said, “Well I think that’s what it was, and that what frustrates me the most. It was survival, and I guess my hope is that’s a sign of a good team, and that we are a good team, and that we didn’t just get lucky. We certainly didn’t play up to our standards of what we think we’re capable of. We didn’t get better from the week before to this week. So, that’s something we’re really going to focus on this week is making sure that everything is where it’s supposed to be, and that each week were getting better and that we’re not regressing at all.”

The Tigers are back in action on Friday when the take on Huntington at Tiger Stadium.
