Tigers Use Bye Week to Clean Up Penalties

Sports

The Grambling State Tigers are back in action after wrapping up their bye week.

Penalties have been an issue for this team through the first half of the season.

Coach Fobbs says they made sure to address it in their week off.

Broderick Fobbs said, “It’s been the focus of practice in every drill that we do. Even in conditioning drills. The focus is making sure that you focus and listen to when you need to take off. Also, it’s about technique. Making sure your feet are in the right position so you don’t reach out and grab, or whatever the case may be. So, that’s been our focus for this particular week is to make sure that we hone in on those things because you have to be pretty good in every area if you want a chance to win the entire thing.”

The Tigers will take on Alcorn State on Saturday at Robinson Stadium.
