Waskom looks to get back in the win column on Saturday

The Waskom Wildcats aren’t accustomed to losing

In the last three years the cats have lost just 8-times, seven of those were last season after back to back state titles in ’14 and ’15.

Coach Keeling and Waskom took a tough loss Friday night at the hands of Jefferson in this seasons opener.

He says the cats have to clean up some mistakes to get back in the win column this weekend.

Whitney Keeling said, “We’re not accustomed to losing very many games. It’s not a moral victory for them. We have to keep fighting and understand that the ultimate goal is to win.”

Christian Smith said, “We played as hard as we could but it didn’t end up the way we wanted it to. We can lose that game and win the rest of them so we just have to look forward to the next game.”

Waskom goes on the road on Saturday to play Harmony at Big Sandy.
