Will Wade ‘indefinitely suspended’ after FBI wiretap released


LSU head coach Will Wade has been indefinitely suspended after an FBI wiretap was released of Wade making unspecific offers recruiting in 2017. The telephone conversation was between Wade and Christian Dawkins. The two discussing an offer which involved bribery and corruption in the NCAA.

Wade has a 43-20 record in two season with the Tigers, who are currently ranked 10th in the nation. 
Assistant coach Tony Benford will take over on an interim basis.

The university putting out a joint statement saying Wade will be suspended 
“indefinitely until such time as we can ensure full compliance with the NCAA, as well as institutional policies and standards.”
