The family of a man killed by Alabama police after a mall shooting Thursday night are calling on authorities to release any videos of the events leading up to the deadly shooting.
Police and witnesses said it started with a fight during early Black Friday shopping at the Riverchase Galleria mall in Hoover, a suburb of Birmingham.
Someone opened fire, shooting an 18-year old man and a 12-year old girl.
The gunfire set off a panic, sending hundreds of shoppers stampeding to find safety.
On Thursday, police said they shot and killed 21-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford as he ran from area. They had said he was fleeing while holding a gun.
Now, police say evidence shows Bradford “likely did not” fire the shots that hit the two victims, and they’re now searching for another gunman.
Hoover police have not identified the officer who fired the shots that killed Bradford, and the state has taken over the investigation.
