(NBC NEWS) — Paul Rudd is a guy who’s gotten used to being involved with a big finale, including the recent “Avengers: Endgame.”
This week, he’s part of “Saturday Night Live’s” endgame… for this season, anyway.
“It does have this excitement in the air for the writers, cast and crew,” he says. “It’s a little bit like the last week of school.”
This will be Rudd’s fourth time hosting the show, but the first in almost six years.
“The energy of a show night on SNL is crazy. It’s like a race,” he says.
Adding to the breathless anticipation for this week is SNL’s tradition of surprise cameos in the season finale.
“It’s a cool thing to be a part of, to know that, you never know, who’s going to show up from one sketch to the next,” Rudd says.
This week’s musical guest is DJ Khaled.
