Shreve Memorial Library Main Branch, located at 424 Texas Street downtown, will host a “Star Wars Day Celebration” starting at 9:00 a.m.
The branch will hold a Star Wars movie marathon starting with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at 9:00 a.m., Star Wars: The Force Awakens at 11:45 a.m., and Star Wars: The Last Jedi at 2:30 p.m. Crafts and other activities will also take place throughout the day. Participants will be able make their very own light saber at 11:15 a.m. and attend Jedi Training Academy at 2:00 p.m.
Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Resource Center, located at 1212 Captain Shreve Drive, will host a movie screening of The Last Jedi, the latest episode in the Star Wars series. Movie time is from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the branch. Popcorn will be served.
Teens are invited to come and enjoy “FunTastic Friday: Craft Day” and a show in celebration of May 4 at Shreve Memorial Library Cedar Grove/Line Avenue Branch. Participants will create Star Wars crafts and watch an episode of Star Wars Rebels from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the meeting room at the branch, located at 8303 Line Avenue.
