Warmer air to return this weekend. Rain chances still look rather low. Next cold front to arrive next weekend.
830pm Live Update:
Friday was another mostly cloudy and cool day for this time of year. Thanks to all of the clouds, most locations stayed in the 70s for daytime highs. Expect another mild night Friday night. We’ll see overnight lows slowly fall to the low to mid 60s under a mostly cloudy sky. We will likely see lots of clouds for Saturday, but since we’ll also see some sunshine, expect temperatures to warm to the upper 70s to low 80s. I don’t expect to see much of any rain Saturday. If we do, it won’t last long and will be confined to the southern quarter of the area.
That chance for rain may increase a little for Sunday. Expect a mostly cloudy sky with a few scattered T’showers Sunday. Models indicate that any rain will not amount to much with totals of 1/4″ expect for almost all of the area. Temperatures will likely begin in the mid to upper 60s and reach daytime highs in the low to mid 80s. Upper level high pressure will then shut down any rain chances for the area starting Monday. We will see even warmer temperatures for the rest of the week. Expect daytime highs to return to the upper 80s. Overnight lows will return to the low 70s.
Models are now in decent agreement that our next cold front will probably arrive next weekend. We should expect to see showers and thunderstorms to begin the weekend with some decent rain possible. We’ll likely see temperatures similar to what we are experiencing now behind this next front. Stay Tuned!!
Average High/Low for today’s date: 84/61.
Have a great weekend!! –Todd Warren
