After a dry Sunday, rain is back beginning Monday

Despite Saturday’s severe storms, the weekend turned out to be a nice one. Temperatures are still warm into the 60s and 70s. Currently, rain is off to the west in Texas. A few rain showers are possible for tonight. Rain will increase for Monday throughout the ArkLaTex.

Following Monday’s rain, our attention will turn to Wednesday. As of now, there are still some uncertainties regarding factors that would lead to severe storms. Nevertheless, we will continue to watch Wednesday carefully. A line of showers and storms will be along a cold front. The storms and cold front will push through Wednesday afternoon and evening. By Thursday, we will be done with the rain. Overall, we are looking at rainfall totals between 1-2″ with some higher amounts possible.

Thursday will be another warm afternoon. We will see a stronger cold front arrive Thursday to knock lows into the 40s Friday morning. A quiet weather pattern is expected Friday into the weekend. Highs will be into the 50s and lows into the 30s.
