Clouds to return during the weekend. Warm up continues through next week. Rain chances increase a little late next week.
Friday proved to be a gorgeous day across the Arklatex. Thanks to plenty of sunshine, temperatures climbed into the mid to upper 60s after a cold start in the upper 30s to low 40s. Expect another clear and chilly night Friday night. Temperatures will likely dip into the upper 30s to low 40s over the area once again.
Expect readings a degree or two above what you experienced Friday morning. Expect slightly warmer temperatures Saturday as the sunshine will continue for most of the area for most of the day. Clouds should begin to increase over the western half of the region late in the day. We’ll see daytime highs in the mid to upper 60s with some low 70s possible over the southern half of the area. The clouds will begin to increase area wide Saturday night and Sunday as a weak disturbance moves across the northern half of the country. I don’t expect much rain in our area.
Most of next week is looking dry and warmer. Temperatures will gradually climb to the mid to upper 70s for daytime highs. Overnight lows will climb back to the upper 50s to low 60s. Our next best shot at rain will likely hold off until the end of the week. Expect a chance for a few scattered showers Thursday and Friday. Models indicate that we shouldn’t expect much rain with totals at 1/4″ or less for the entire week.
Average High/Low for today’s date: 70/47
