Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies early to start off the day. Not much going on. As far as rain, it isn’t a major issue for us early on today. We are seeing some scattered showers just to our west, but staying away from us. We may see some scattered storms or shower later today, but not much is expected despite a cold front moving into the area. Currently temperatures are in the 60s to around 70 to start off your Thursday. Taking a look at visibilities, currently no major issues. However, some patchy fog will be possible in some areas. Highs today will be mainly be in the middle 80s to near 90. That is near to just above normal for this time of year. Lows tonight will be in the 60s.. A weak cold front will continue to slide through the area today, but will have minimal impact for today. Again, not much on the radar this morning. Mainly seeing partly cloudy skies. No major weather systems in the vicinity of the area. We are seeing scattered showers to our west but making little progress this way. Partly cloudy skies are expected for today. Our high resolution forecast does try to produce rain today for our area but it may be over doing it some. However, some isolated rain will be possible. As of now, conditions are not favorable for widespread rain along the front. As far as the tropics…we are still dealing with Maria. She is now a tropical storm and expected to move away from the US mainland. Again, partly cloudy for today. Highs today near 90. Above average temperatures are expected today in some areas still, but some cooling is expected for the end of the week and the weekend. Rain chances are still looking slim but we may see some scattered activity today.
