Cold Front Moving in Midweek

Sunday morning started off pretty cloudy in the Ark La Tex region. This afternoon we are seeing sunshine. Scattered showers are beginning to pop up especially in East Texas. As the sun goes down, storms will fizzle. On Monday, showers and storms will become isolated. However, rain chances will increase Tuesday night into Wednesday with a cold front moving in. As of now, the highest rainfall totals will be the highest in East Texas.

Thursday and Friday will give us more sunshine and lower humidity. Highs Thursday and Friday in the 70s. Lows will be comfortable in the middle 50s. Another cold front is set to move in by Saturday. Temperatures will become cooler by Sunday.

In the tropics, we now have Tropical Storm Michael. Michael is expected to move into the Central Gulf by Tuesday. It will likely make between Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The latest forecast calls for Michael to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall. The cold front that passes through the Ark La Tex region Wednesday will steer Michael up the East Coast.
