The cool mornings and pleasant afternoons are here to stay, so if you enjoyed the weather pattern yesterday, you will enjoy what Tuesday has lined up for us. Slight rain chances will return tomorrow.
This morning temperatures are in the low to mid 40s, so you will need a jacket if you step out before 10 a.m. After that we will warm into the mid and upper 60s, with many areas perhaps topping the 70 degree mark again today with a light southeast breeze of 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy. A cold front dropping in from our north will approach midday tomorrow, and we could see a few raindrops and perhaps a thunderstorm develop during the day. Rain chances will be slightly higher across the I-30 corridor. Overall accumulations will be light, and most areas will stay dry. See the latest 36 hour loop of futurecast below:
The dry, mostly sunny, and ideal conditions return Thursday and Friday as highs will be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
We are still on track to see rain return this weekend. There are still some timing differences with the onset of the rain between the forecast models, but we should begin to see a few showers and thunderstorms by Saturday afternoon and evening. This slow moving system will keep rain and storms in the forecast Sunday into Monday as well. At the moment it looks like our severe weather threat is low, but given the time of year we will need to watch this closely. Rainfall accumulations over the next 7 days may exceed 1 inch in some areas, but this does not look to be a heavy rain threat for us.
