Sunshine and near normal temperatures to continue. Next shot at some rain could return as soon as Friday. Rain potential still looks rather light.
Temperatures Tuesday morning began on a cooler note as lows were mainly in the low to mid 30s. Afternoon highs climbed to slightly above normal levels in the upper 50s to low 60s under a sunny sky. We really won’t see much change for the next few days. Look for the sunshine to continue through Thursday. Overnight lows will stay in the low 30s. Daytime highs will stay in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Our next shot at some rain will likely begin Friday. Clouds will be on the increase Thursday night. Friday is looking mostly cloudy with a very slight chance for a scattered shower or two especially over the northwest half of the area. That chance for rain will likely increase some Friday night through Saturday. The good news is that this disturbance doesn’t have the strength nor the amount of moisture to work with that the disturbance last weekend had. Consequently, severe weather is not expected at this time and rainfall totals should remain rather light. Most of the area will see less than 1/4″ of rain.
Temperatures for the weekend and next week won’t chance that much. Expect highs to stay in the upper 50s to low 60s. Overnight lows will briefly climb to the 40s and 50s this weekend and should return to the 30s next week.
Average High/Low for today’s date: 36/58.
