We are going to churn out a comfortable weather day this Friday, with nothing in the pipeline to ruin any outdoor plans or evening football games.
We have some mist and patchy fog this morning throughout the region. The clouds may hang on for much of the day as we do have a temperature inversion in place (cool air trapped at the surface below warmer air aloft). If we see sunshine highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s, but i’m starting to think a lot of areas won’t make it out of the low and mid 70s if the clouds hang on throughout the day.

A warm front will lift north from the coast this weekend and pass through the ArkLaTex, bringing a return of the south wind and warmer temperatures, highs will be in the mid 80s. At this point the thinking is there will be the potential for a few showers here and there, especially across east Texas/Louisiana. The rain will not be heavy, and it won’t stick around long, so don’t worry about any weekend outdoor plans being washed out.
Looking into next week we may see some rainfall Monday before a ridge of high pressure builds and dries us out during the middle fo the week. Highs will return to the upper 80s, so enjoy the cooler temperatures today!
