Get ready for a wet next couple of days. Most of the ArkLaTex region is under a Flash Flood Watch through Saturday afternoon.

We are looking at overcast skies with some light rain around. We will see rain on the increase Thursday night through Saturday. Thursday night temperatures will be in the 40s area wide.
A cold rain is expected for everyone Friday and Saturday. The good news is no severe weather is expected. The developing low pressure system is to our south. The upper level feature will help produce the heaviest of rain Friday night into Saturday. Rainfall totals will average between 3-6 inches. The heaviest totals will be across East Texas.

The rain will begin to taper off by Saturday evening. As the system exits the region, there may be a window for some wintry precipitation. We will be watching the northern locations of the ArkLaTex region north of Interstate 30. The ground will be too warm for any accumulations.
Sunday we will be looking at mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 40s. We will see more sunshine beginning Monday with temperatures in the 50s.
