Hot and dry weather pattern settles in. Very little rain during the next week. Jose still not going to threaten the US coast.
Wednesday saw the return of some sunshine as the remnants of Irma are now moving out to the northeast. In the wake of this disturbance, upper level high pressure will build in, warm us up and keep us dry. Look for above normal temperatures for most of the week ahead. Daytime highs Wednesday climbed into the mid to upper 80s. Look for highs over most of the region to rise into the low 90s for most of the week ahead. Overnight lows will rise into the low 70s as we also see a gradual increase in humidity.
Hurricane Jose continues to spin in the Atlantic. Most models indicate that the system will not threaten the US coast. The European model does indicate some movement closer to New England late next week into next weekend. Other that that, to tropics in the Atlantic are looking quiet. This ironically at the peak of hurricane season.
Average High/Low for today’ date: 89/67.
