UPDATE: 830pm Wednesday from Facebook Live….
The warm and dry weather pattern to stick around. Temperatures to get a little hotter. Next shot at rain possible late next week.
Wednesday began with quite a few clouds around the Arklatex and ended with a mostly sunny sky. Look for that sunshine to stick around pretty much all of the week ahead. After lows Wednesday morning in the low 50s, daytime highs once again climbed into the upper 80s to low 90s. Look for a bit of a warming trend to settle in this weekend into next week.
A large area of upper level high pressure will settle over the middle of the country. This will prevent any rain makers from pushing south into the Arklatex. This ridge will also keep up rather warm. Look for daytime highs to eventually warm into the low 90s. A few longer range models indicate that a few spots could soar into the mid 90s. Overnight lows will also creep upwards in the week ahead. Eventually lows will settle into the upper 60s to low 70s.
Models are still in good agreement that rain will be hard to come by. As you can see by the map below, little if any rain can be expected from now through next Wednesday evening.
Average High/Low for today’s date: 82/61.
