Monday was a nice and warm afternoon in the region. Highs made it up into the 70s to near 80. Clouds will continue to increase tonight into Tuesday. Lows will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Highs on Tuesday back into the 70s.

Tuesday, you can expect some showers around. Most of the rain will hold off until Wednesday and Thursday. A slow moving cold front and upper disturbance will arrive during the time period. The best chance of showers and storms will move in Wednesday night into Thursday. Right now, severe weather is low. However, we will continue to monitor the threat. The thunderstorms will be capable of producing some heavy rain. Through Friday, rainfall totals will average between one to two inches. Locally heavier amounts will be possible.

Following Thursday’s rain, sunshine will return to the forecast. Beginning Friday, highs will bounce back into the 70s and warming into the middle 80s by the weekend.
