As of writing this article, temperatures are above freezing in all of the ArkLaTex. As temperatures drop tonight, we will remain above freezing for everyone. We will continue to see scattered showers off and on tonight into Sunday. The best chance of seeing showers will be along Interstate 30.
Warm air advection will be moving north Sunday. As a result, the southern parts of the ArkLaTex will see highs into the 60s. A good chunk of the northern ArkLaTex region will see highs only into the 40s. Depending how far the warmer air moves north, we will see 50s generally along Interstate 20. All of us will see a good chance of rain for Monday.
A cold front will work its way into the region Monday night. SPC placed most of the region under a Marginal Risk for seeing a few severe storms. We will keep you advised on that. Following Monday’s front, we will dry out for Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain returns for Thursday.
