Snow is now ending across the ArkLaTex with widespread reports of 2 to 4 inches across the region. Due to the freezing temperatures we will be slow to melt the ice and snow, so roadway travel may remain hazardous for the remainder of the day and beyond.
For Tuesday afternoon we may see some sunshine return, but highs will be stuck in the 20s with wind chill temperatures between 10 and 19 degrees.
The clearing trend will continue tonight and we will see lows plummet to 10 to 15 degrees in most areas. What has melted along the roadways due to salt and travel will refreeze overnight and we could be looking at major road closures continuing into Wednesday and possibly Thursday.
