Sunny afternoons and cool nights will continue through this week

Monday turned out to be a fabulous afternoon in the ArkLaTex. Temperatures rose into the 60s and 70s. With mostly clear skies and light winds, temperatures will drop back down into the 40s regionwide. Tuesday will be another nice afternoon for all of the ArkLaTex.

A slight change to the sunny forecast will occur on Wednesday. A weak cold front and disturbance will produce some showers. The best rain chance will be across Interstate 30. The front will reinforce the cool and dry weather. Temperatures will moderate up into the 70s for Thursday and Friday.

The quiet weather will come to an end on Saturday. The dominant upper ridge will break down and move to our east. A storm disturbance will move in for the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible. As of now, better rain chances will occur Sunday and Monday. Models have backed off quite a bit on rain potential. Through next weekend, rainfall totals will be less than an inch.
