Temperatures to be closer to normal through Saturday. Warmer air returns Sunday and could stick around for a while. Don’t expect much rain in the week ahead.
Thursday saw plenty of sunshine across the Arklatex. Temperatures behind a cold front that moved through yesterday were a bit cooler as we experienced highs in the mid to upper 80s over the region. Expect only slightly cooler temperatures for the next few days. We will continue to experience plenty of sunshine through Saturday with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Daytime highs will mainly be in the low to mid 80s.
The warmer air will return starting Sunday. Look for daytime highs to return to the upper 80s to low 90s. Overnight lows will return to the upper 60s to low 70s starting Sunday night. The strengthening area of upper level high pressure will also limit the amount of rain that we will see next week. We will see a slight chance for the pop up afternoon showers Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. However, as of right now it appears that the chances aren’t high enough to cancel any outdoor plans. This warm and very dry weather pattern will continue through next weekend.
Average High/Low for this time of year: 84/61
