Warm and dry weather pattern to continue for the next several days. Best chance for showers and thunderstorms holds off until the end of next week. Best shot at severe storms to likely stay north of the Arklatex.
Saturday was a sunny and warmer day across the Arklatex. Temperatures began in the upper 40s to low 50s and warm up all the way into the low to mid 80s for most of the area. Don’t expect much change for the next several days as daytime highs will slowly warm to the mid to upper 80s. Overnight lows will slowly warm to the upper 60s to low 70s as south winds gradually increase the humidity.
With that moisture in place, we’ll be watching a slow moving front that will ease its way into the Arklatex by next Friday and Saturday. By then, most of the upper level support should be well northeast of our region. That means that the severe weather risk is now looking low and the amount of rain that we see will be less than impressive with totals for the next week less than 1″ for most of the Arklatex.
Average High/Low for todays’ date: 80/ 57.
