Coolest night of the season so far form much of the area. Warming trend for the rest of the week. Promising shot at some decent rain coming Sunday.
Monday began with some of the coolest air of the season. Morning lows were in the upper 30s to mid 40s across the northern half of the area and upper 40s to low 50s across the south. All of the area will dip into the 40s tonight with the southern half of the area likely seeing the coolest air of the season so far. Tuesday expect the beginning of a warming trend as daytime highs will return to normal in the mid to upper 70s. We will continue to warm us for the rest of the week as the sunshine continues. Expect daytime highs to return to the low to mid 80s. Overnight lows will return to the mid 60s by the weekend.
Burn bans are in effect for much of the area. We do have links to your state’s burn ban list on the right side of our main weather page here. We do have something to look forward to in the rain department. Models are in good agreement that we will see a decent storm system bring the likelihood of widespread rain late Saturday night through Sunday. Much of the area could receive a solid one to two inches of rain. We will then cool off again to begin next week.
Average High/Low for today’s date: 78/54.
